In The Spotlight Today: Robin Major-Oliphant!

Tell me about yourself! How old are you, and where are you from?

Robin: I am a 36-year-old native of Toledo, Ohio and I am married with children and a Peka-Tzu:)

In 100 words or less, tell us what your book is about!

Robin: From Pieces to Peace: Damaged Goods is the beginning of my life’s journey of brokenness, abuse, heartache, betrayal, and resentment. It exposes the Damaged Goods of my life and reveals real world issues and generational curses plaguing families and communities today such as molestation, domestic violence, mental illness and so much more. It is a captivating read that grips you from beginning to end and is a piece of my riveting real-life story that takes you on a journey filled with emotion, and passion toward peace and wholeness.

When did you publish this book, and what was your biggest challenge while publishing?

Robin: I published on April 11th, 2018. The most difficult challenge was trusting the process. I self-published and it was a bit nerve-wracking but so rewarding once I was able to hold my work in my hands

What inspired you to write your story?

Robin: It started with wanted to share my story about domestic violence, and then the Lord kept leading me back to sharing my whole story as to where it all started. He showed me that there were so many people who needed to hear my story, who could connect with it, and who needed healing, deliverance and restoration through connecting with my story.

What do you enjoy the most about writing non-fiction?

Robin: Being a voice for so many others.

Do you write fiction as well? If not, would you and what genre?

Robin: Not at this time. If I did, it would probably be romance novels.

What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?

Robin: It is so hard to choose, I am always finding a great book.

Manifestation Through Relaxation by Neville Goddard

The Shack by William P. Young would be two of my favorites, but I don’t have a least favorite

Do you have any other hobbies, businesses that you would like to share?

Robin: I am the President of Wife Talk Publishing, and I help new authors become published authors either through self-publishing or with WTP representing them as the publisher.

Do you have any upcoming book specials/giveaways or events?

Robin: None at this time.
