Hello, I am 33 years old and I am from Suffolk, Virginia
Tell us more about your book!
Yes! My children’s book called ‘Patricia’s Guardian Angel’ is about a little girl named Patricia who is living with Sickle Cell Disease. Along her journey with SCD, she has a guardian angel (a cat) named Catherine (her grandmother) who encourages her throughout her hospitalizations and illness and learns that everything will be okay. This book is more than a children’s book, but an educational tool to educate other kids and adults about what SCD really is.

What does your ideal writing space look like?
Oh man! My ideal writing space will be pink and teal everything! LOL With my mac computer on my desk along with inspirational pictures, a hot pink recliner and couch to match, a gumball machine, a big screen TV for Netflix and some pink and teal throw pillows for comfort.
If your book was turned into a movie, who would play your main characters?
Well since my book is a children’s book, I would have to say Yara Shahidi from ‘Black Ish’ and ‘Grownish’ and just have Patricia to be a little older, maybe in high school.
You are stranded on an island, and only one character from any book can save you. Who are you picking?
If I am stranded, I am choosing one of my favorite character ‘Arikah’ from ‘Lady Elect’
Besides being a writer, what else do you enjoy?
I enjoy playing games such as Candy Crush, Uno, Bowling, catching up on new shows and movies on Netflix, napping and eating! LOL
Do you have any upcoming book promotions?
My new children’s book ‘Patricia’s Visit to the Hospital’ is set to be released in September just in time for Sickle Cell Awareness Month. I am extremely excited for the remake of this book! Also I’m always booking myself on podcasts for interviews and magazine features. Stay tuned!
