Tell me about yourself! How old are you, and where are you from?
I am Erin Hughley (36) born and raised in Detroit, MI, and currently residing in Killeen, TX.
Give us a summary of your book!
Book Your Brand is an aspiring author’s guide to self- publishing for entrepreneurs, small business owners, brands, and business professionals who want to leverage their market by sharing their expertise in a book.
What inspired you to write this book?
As an author and small business owner, I understand the value in branding your expertise as an author turned brand and business turned author/expert. When I created Book Your Brand, I wanted to show professionals how easy it was to be able to share your expertise for their market who may not normally be able to afford their services or want to learn from the experts.
Have you written any fiction novels as well? If not, would you and what genre?
Yes, in 2016 I released a fiction series, Real Lives of Dolls and a two-part series, Indiscretion & Reckless. I am also a children’s book author. I love adventure and fantasy, scary stories, romantic suspense, paranormal, and psychological thrillers so my writing style is very diverse!
What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?
I honestly have no favorites. Most books I end up reading a million times because I read so much I forget what I’ve read until I’m already reinvested in the story lol.
Do you have any other hobbies or businesses that you would like to share?
My hobbies are catering and travel, because well I love food and new adventures. I am the co-founder of My Litle Storie Children’s Bookstore & Publishing as well as Storyteller Young Author’s Academy.
Do you have any upcoming book specials/giveaways or events?
August 1st we kick off our 1st annual My Litle Storie Presents… “My Litle Book Tour” and it's full of our young author highlight videos, resources from literacy and youth organizations and we are doing a few contests and giveaways like amazon gift cards, publishing packages, book baskets, and small knick-knacks!
