Bold Love A Letter to My Young Sisters: Synopsis

Bold Love: A Letter to My Young Sisters is a love letter full of personal experiences, science and deliberate encouragement to help one move through the challenges related to self-esteem, absent relationships and racial challenges. This body of work is written through the eyes of the writer as if she were her younger self. Bold Love speaks to young ladies and women that may not understand the pathology of their behaviors. Bold Love uses poetry and anonymous testimony to normalize any reader that may feel like their problem is one that only they have faced. Bold Love creates a platform to encourage self-reflection and makes a plea for one to accept their reality and not live in fantasy by holding on to what one believes should have been. The love letter is to encourage a young generation to learn who they are and where they come from and to not allow unfavorable circumstances stunt the promise that was put on their lives.

Bold Choice They Say I’m Bad: Synopsis

Follow Micah on his journey to understanding how to express himself in a healthy manner and deciphering between healthy and unhealthy choices. He also learns the power of forgiveness.

Bold Me I AM Worthy: Highlights four children from different walks of life that have been ostracized do to what other children perceived as differences. The kids being left out learn to love themselves from the positive affirmations from their parents and then the teach the mean kids what they learned.

What inspired you to write this book?

Bold Love- Is a letter to my younger self. It was healing for me.

Bold Choice and Bold Me are simply ideas that came from the interactions I had often with children.

If you could pick one song to describe this book, what would it be?

All books-Whitney Houston –I didn’t know my own strength.

Have you written any fiction novels as well? If not, would you and what genre? I don’t see myself doing a fiction novel.

What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?

This may seem weird but Waiting To Exhale, and I’m in love with Becoming Michelle.

Do you have any other hobbies, or businesses that you would like to share? Bold Visions Consulting, LLC is my business and being an author is under it’s umbrella. My mission is to teach the community about the importance of mental health with an emphasis on self-esteem and self-empowerment.

Do you have any upcoming book specials/giveaways or events?

One of my books-Bold Me I AM Worthy was recently picked up in Joseph-Beth Bookstore in Rookwood Pavilion in Cincinnati, OH. I will also be participating in a reading hour at a Cincinnati Public Library for Black History Month and also hosting a Black Business Sip and Shop for Black History Month.

Anything else you would like to share?

Deciding to start my business and write is a testimony of God’s Grace over my life. I could have easily taken another path. Statics say that I shouldn’t have made it this far; but God. My work and business is my testimony of faith, survival and healing. I hope to be global or at least nationwide and make it to ELLEN(;0)
