Tell me about yourself!
How old are you, and where are you from? My Name is Jamie “Jai” Morrison. I am a 35 year old mother of two human babies, my Weeples, and two fur babies. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to a hard working single mom and am the second of four children.
Give us a summary of your book!
1. 16 Years 2 Life is my story. It is a Novel sharing my journey serving the prison sentence 16 Years 2 Life with my Mother.
2, Boots, Bibs & Barbells is my second book full of workouts, recipes, motivational quotes, health information and the stories of 6 other inspiring mothers.
What inspired you to write this book?
1. 16 Years 2 Life: At the age of 17 my best friend of 4 years confessed her struggle and we realized we had been keeping the same secret. I was inspired to write this book so that children with parents in prison could know that they weren’t alone and that they had no reason to be ashamed.
2. BBB: I was inspired to write BBB while balancing competing in body building competitions, pursing my Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, working in the Air Force all while balancing life as a wife and mother. I wanted other women to be inspired to chase their dreams and know that they can have and do it all.

Have you written any fiction novels as well? If not, would you and what genre?
I haven’t written any fictions novels, but I’m not opposed. I love to read fiction, sci-fi, self help... I guess I just love to read and learn.
What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?
I don’t have a least favorite book. I try to take the positive out of everything. My favorite books are Flyy Girl by Omar Tyree and The Coldest Winter Ever by Sista Souljah
Do you have any other hobbies, or businesses that you would like to share?
I actually co-own a beauty bar in Cedar Hill, Texas. My mother and I started up the beauty bar a few years ago where we specialize in natural hair, custom coloring and we off our handmade hair and body care. She makes the hair products and I make natural soaps, body butters, oils and sugar scrubs. I even customize colors for special events.
