In The Spotlight Today: Franklin Neal!

How old are you and where are you from?

Franklin: I'm twenty-three year young. Born in Liberia but right now I live in Indiana.

How old were you when you realized you wanted to be a writer?

Franklin: Twenty-one. This new to me so any and all support is welcome.

Tell us more about your book! What inspired you to write it?

Franklin: After writing my debut novel. Six Years Black was my second favorite choice. I like telling stories that dive into the darker, sensitive, or heavier aspects of books. I'm always compelled to write rare characters so making my character blind was challenging but rewarding.

If you could relate to any character in your book, who would it be and why?

Franklin: This is a short story, so I do not have too many characters. However, Syble, love her dark sense of humor.

What type of books do you enjoy? What are two of your favorites?

Franklin: I'm not an avid reader but fantasy my go to. I'm read one book in the Game of Throne series and now currently reading The Name of the Wind. My second would be adventure books.

Besides reading and writing, what else do you enjoy doing during your free time? Do you have any other businesses?

Franklin: I also write music. I'm also looking into film studies, I would love to film my own stories or any other great books that did not receive the proper attention. If you know the PC game League of Legends add me let’s play!

If you could pick any song to describe your main character, what would it be?

Franklin: Maybe she also will like Beethoven. My first main character fancied the piano. The way I write most my characters are linked. They have intertwined stories, but you will have to find the small clues I left within these stories.

Do you have any upcoming books in the works?

Franklin: I do. If you follow my website I had readers vote on my next book. They choose Mask of the Millions a short story. Mask of the Millions and Six Years Black will connect with each other. So make sure to devour this short story first.

Do you have any book specials/giveaways or events coming up?

Franklin: I will run a free promotion soon. I don't have the details yet but follow my website/blog to stay up to date. Also don't forget to opt in on my mailing list. It would upset me if anyone missed a chance to read my debut novel. My website https://franklinnealpublications.weebly.com/blog
