How old are you and where are you from?
Hi, I’m 29. As to where I’m from, I’m originally Iranian, born in the Emirates, and I grew up in Europe (Spain, UK..). I keep moving around too, so I can’t pinpoint exactly where I’m from, lol, sorry does that answer the question?
Tell us more about your book!
Gladly! Seacity Rising is a children’s fantasy and adventure story about small animals who live in a pond. They discover something terrible is coming to endanger their lives, so it is decided that a group of them, a frog, two turtles and a genius goldfish with a nifty invention that allows him to live outside of the water, should journey up to dry land for the first time ever to find out what is coming and how they can stop it.

‘Seacity Rising’ details how climate change and displacement affect the smallest of the Earth’s creatures in a fun and relatable way.
What does your ideal writing space look like?
A casual table, maybe in a not-so-overcrowded coffee shop. Not so much an office desk, it makes it feel too formal.
If your book was turned into a movie, who would play your main characters?
Well, it would have to be an animated movie, since the main characters are a frog, two turtles and a goldfish. As for voice actors, Babak the Frog should definitely be voiced over by Omid Djalili, the Princess Dolores (Lo) by Mae West, Lenore (Lee) by Elizabeth Banks, and Dr Goldberg by Gary Oldman.
You’re stranded on an island, and only one character from any book can save you. Who are you picking?
Does a DreamWorks character count? If so, I’d pick Po from Kung Fu panda, because it would be so cool (and cute!) to be saved by a panda.
Besides being a writer, what else do you enjoy?
I am also a humanitarian worker. I have been working in refugee camps across Greece for two years, and what I have enjoyed the most has been teaching refugees about stress management. In my spare time, I also love to sing and practice yoga.
