Tell me about yourself! How old are you, and where are you from?

My name is Brittiany Tarver I am 42 years old. I live in Indianapolis with my husband of 24 years and our three beautiful adult children and I have 2 beautiful granddaughters.

Give us a summary of your book!

The Men I chose is about my journey through life and the men that I chose to love. We see one thing growing up mimicking it because we think it’s right and not knowing that love can be so much different than what the eye sees. We tend to fall in love with an image thinking it will stay. The image we have and the image that is portrayed is two different things. Through the abuse and misguided love, we will all find our way out. Whether it is by default or the unchanging love of God’s hand. Life is never all roses…….

What inspired you to write this book?

I started this book three different times and never finish it. I went back to all three and they all had the same information each time. I just knew it was meant for me to write this book. Also got courage from a family member to be brave and put my book out.

If you could pick one song to describe this book, what would it be?

Commitment by Monica

Have you written any fiction novels as well? If not, would you and what genre?

I am currently on my second book which will be a fiction novel. It’s about love and romance in a distance relationship.

What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?

My favorite books would be the Thug series by Wahida Clark. The least favorite would be like sci-fi books.

Do you have any other hobbies, or businesses that you would like to share?

I am Certified Master Life Coach with associate degree in Criminal and another associate degree in Business. When I am not writing, I am developing a coaching program for ex-offenders to re-enter society and prepare for job readiness from her not-for-profit company, Creating A Better Me Productions. My passion in life is to help others achieve their goals and seek out their life’s purpose.

Do you have any upcoming book specials/giveaways or events?

Anything else you would like to share? *100 words max.

We as women and young girls seem to lose ourselves and our identity in men to the point that we don't focus on anything else. We're worth more! Throughout life’s journey I had to stop blaming him for everything and accept the part I played in that relationship. I knew what kind of man he was so why would I think it would be different. I thought maybe he would change for me that was the wrong way to think. So, through it all it made me a stronger woman and made me believe I could accomplish anything.
